Liechtenstein offers a very high quality of life. The options for various stages of life as well as the scenic, cultural, and economic opportunities are enormous.
Being new in a country comes with many questions - especially as a teenager or young adult. School, training, work, leisure, and everyday life often function differently than what one is used to. In Liechtenstein, there are various services and points of contact that support newcomers.
The "aha" is a point of contact for teenagers and young adults in Liechtenstein.
It supports them with information, advice, and participation opportunities.
The five main areas of the "aha" are:
Youth Information
Youth Participation
Youth Projects
Consulting and Coaching
Voluntary Social Year (FSJ)
The aha helps young people to orient themselves, become active, and implement their own ideas - whether in school, profession, leisure, or internationally. In addition, it provides rooms and infrastructure (PC, printer, etc.).
The Open Youth Work (OJA) Liechtenstein provides meeting points, support, and leisure activities for young people.
There are youth meetings in several communities where young people can meet and spend time. They can carry out their own projects (e.g. music, media, workshops) and are supported by professionals in case of questions, problems, or ideas. The goal is for young people to become independent and develop their strengths.
School social work provides free support directly in schools and serves as a point of contact for those in need of help or someone to talk to.
It helps students with personal, social, or academic problems.
It also advises parents and teachers.
The goal is to support young people in growing up and solving problems.
The service is easily accessible and confidential.
The Office for Social Services ensures that children and adolescents are well supported and protected.
This includes among other things:
Child and Youth Assistance:
Support for families and intervention when the welfare of children is at risk.
Protection of children and adolescents:
Measures to ensure they grow up safely and are protected from dangers.
Promotion of child and youth work:
Support for leisure activities, projects, and organizations for young people.
Additionally, the Office for Social Services is responsible for addiction prevention. Addiction prevention is the central point for everything related to the prevention of addiction (e.g., alcohol, drugs, media).
ROKJ is an association that supports children and young people who have fewer financial or social opportunities. They specifically promote talents and skills (e.g., school, sports, music). The aim is to provide long-term support so that young people can develop well. One can submit an application that is reviewed. The money is directly used for the purpose (e.g., course, club) and is not paid out.
Open Youth Work (OJA)
The youth meetings of the OJA are safe places for young people to meet others, have fun, and get help when they need it.
Holiday Fun
The Holiday Fun is an event calendar with a variety of activities during the school holidays.
liechtenstein.bewegt
